Ancient Stones, They Know, 2004

“I stood in the center of the stones as they went up; it was like touching bedrock…which it indeed was.”

Pairs of stones –small and large–were used to connote a mutual dependency.

Stones quarried one mile from site. The mica schist is the predominant form of masonry construction in this area.
